Costco Pumpkin Pie Season Dates and Availability
Costco typically sells its Kirkland Signature pumpkin pie from early fall through late November, with the exact start and end dates varying by warehouse location and supply chain timing. The seasonal window usually aligns with the broader U.S. holiday baking period, and many locations begin stocking the pie in September and clear remaining inventory by the day after Thanksgiving. The pumpkin pie is sold whole and in multi-packs, with availability driven by the company's centralized holiday food logistics and demand forecasts reported in seasonal retail analyses Forbes.
Because Costco does not publish a fixed national calendar date for pumpkin pie discontinuation, the end date depends on when individual warehouses sell through their allocated stock. Some locations may remove the product earlier if demand is lower, while high-traffic stores often keep it available closer to the holiday. Customers can check real-time availability through the Costco app or website by searching for "pumpkin pie" and filtering by their local warehouse, which reflects the current inventory status and helps shoppers plan purchases before the seasonal window closes.
How to Track Costco Pumpkin Pie Stock and Purchase Limits
Costco uses a combination of in-store signage, app notifications, and online inventory checks to communicate pumpkin pie availability, and shoppers can set alerts for restocks during the season. The pumpkin pie is usually sold in a 10-inch whole pie format and a two-pack of smaller pies, with limits sometimes applied during peak demand to ensure broader access across members. Inventory data from Costco's online ordering system shows real-time stock levels, and the product page often displays expected delivery or pickup windows for seasonal items SEC.
To maximize the chance of securing pumpkin pie before it sells out, shoppers should check inventory early in the morning and monitor the Costco app for updates throughout the season. The product is available to both Costco members and non-members in some locations, though members receive the standard pricing and may have access to additional seasonal bundles. Tracking tools and third-party inventory trackers can also provide early warnings when pumpkin pie is added back to stock or removed from the seasonal lineup.
Costco Pumpkin Pie Pricing, Formats, and Seasonal Context
Costco's pumpkin pie pricing reflects its bulk, high-quality positioning, with whole pies and multi-packs typically priced below comparable bakery offerings and positioned as a holiday staple for large gatherings. The product is part of Costco's broader seasonal food strategy that includes other Thanksgiving and holiday desserts, and it is often promoted through in-store displays and digital flyers during the fall season. Pricing and format details are updated annually based on ingredient costs and consumer demand trends, and the company's seasonal product decisions are influenced by data from its massive U.S. membership base Tesla.
Beyond pumpkin pie, Costco's fall seasonal lineup often includes related items such as apple pies, cranberry sauces, and baking ingredients, creating a bundled holiday shopping experience for members. The pumpkin pie's availability aligns with Costco's broader calendar of seasonal food launches, which are designed to drive traffic during key shopping periods and reinforce the value proposition of bulk purchasing. As the holiday season progresses and inventory is depleted, the pumpkin pie is phased out and replaced with winter and holiday-specific products, completing the annual seasonal cycle SpaceX.
